LOKA Service

Overview

Introduction

LOKA is a group of volunteers gathered to support foreigners in Korea. With LOKA, international students at HUFS can ask various questions about daily tasks and problems during your stay in Korea. This is a new service for HUFS students which is absolutely free!

In order to utilize LOKA’s services, you will need the KakaoTalk messenger app. Follow the link below and begin using their chat service for help with daily tasks.

Things LOKA volunteers can help with

    • I need help finding accommodation during my stay at HUFS.

    • I want to know the show times for of Avengers: Endgame near Gangnam.

    • I feel sick. Where is the nearest clinic?

    • My toilet is broken. How do I call a repair person?

    • I want to go to Lotte World. Could you tell me how to get there?

Things LOKA volunteers CANNOT help with

    • Questions that require actions such as making a reservation, purchasing something on your behalf, or making a phone call.

    • I want tickets for a Seoul soccer game on May 1st. Can you buy them for me?

    • Could you reserve a flight ticket to Japan?

    • I want to get my nails done. Could you make a reservation at the nail shop?

    • I want to buy an external hard drive. Could you buy it online and send it to my address?
