Extension of Stay

Exchange/Visiting Students who wish to extend their stay            

Maximum overall period of stay is 12 months

• 1. Contact your home university for permission to extend your study period

  2. If you have received permission, your university coordinator will notify the Office of International Admissions & Management by e-mail (exchange@hufs.ac.kr)

  3. Submit the application form(it will be sent out by email during the semester) to our office by:

     • Fall Semester Students: October 30

     • Spring Semester students: April 30

Visa Extension Application

After you receive the required documents from HUFS to extend your visa, you need to do the following:

• 1. Reserve an appointment at the Immigration Office online - http://hikorea.go.kr

  2. At Immigration, you will need to submit your:

     • completed visa application (Application Form, shown here)

     • academic transcript

     • certificate of current enrollment

     • confirmation of residence

     • a 60,000 KRW extension fee
